Slow getting started this morning. I brought up rear at 11.-a.m.
Cloudy with easterly wind. At 3.30 found entire party stopped by 1/4
mile lead formed since Captain passed. Camped. Marvin & MacMillan made a
sounding (96 fathoms, 15-20 miles from Columbia) calm while we were
building igloos. |
